International Trailer Drops for ‘Under Your Feet’

A brand new international trailer has dropped for ‘Under Your Feet’ starring Maribel Verdú which is being described as “Rosemary’s Baby meets Hansel & Gretel”.

The international horror scene is bracing for a chilling new entry with the release of the key art and first teaser for the upcoming supernatural thriller, Under Your Feet (Bajo tus pies). Coming from the creative minds associated with the Netflix sensation The Platform, this new project is being positioned as a haunting blend of urban paranoia and dark fairy-tale whimsy.

The film marks a significant return for Maribel Verdú, an actress beloved by horror and fantasy fans for her legendary performance in Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth. In Under Your Feet, Verdú plays Isabel, a mother of two who believes she has found the ultimate sanctuary for her family.

The premise taps into the universal dream of finding a high-end home at an impossibly low price—a dream that, in the world of horror, quickly becomes a nightmare. Isabel and her children move into a prestigious, exclusive apartment building that boasts a rigorous admission process. Despite the building’s status, the rent is suspiciously affordable, a red flag that Isabel ignores in favor of providing a better life for her kids. However, the true cost of their residence is soon revealed through the bizarre and increasingly intrusive behavior of three elderly neighbors living on the floor directly beneath them.

Director Cristian Bernard aims to bridge the gap between psychological dread and folkloric horror. Producer Guido Rud of FilmSharks has described the film as a cross between the claustrophobic gaslighting of Rosemary’s Baby and the predatory, Grimm-inspired danger of Hansel & Gretel.

The international teaser offers a glimpse into this atmosphere, focusing on the “horror in the walls” and the unsettling feeling that someone—or something—is watching from the floorboards. The visual language of the film, captured by Director of Photography Juan Sebastian Vasquez (Upon Entry), suggests a sophisticated aesthetic that favors mounting tension over cheap jump scares. Rud has also noted that the film is designed to evoke the nostalgic sense of adventure found in classics like The Goonies, Super 8, and Stranger Things, but with a decidedly more mature and terrifying edge.

The pedigree of the production team is one of the film’s strongest selling points. It is produced by Carlos Juarez of Basque Films, the producer behind the dystopian hit The Platform. This connection is further solidified by the casting of Zorion Eguileor, who delivered a chilling performance in The Platform and returns here to add his unique brand of gravitas to the ensemble.

The cast is rounded out by rising stars and veteran talent alike, including Goya Award winners Sofia Otero and Urko Olazabal. This high caliber of acting talent suggests that Under Your Feet will rely heavily on character-driven suspense, making the supernatural elements feel all the more grounded and disturbing.

Following a successful theatrical opening in Spain, the film is now heading to the prestigious Cannes Film Market, where it is expected to be a hot commodity for international distributors.
