It is an intense horror movie comparable to the movies like Grave Encounters. It’s a nice touch to film the film in raw form. The murder scenes are nicely done, with some terror, but more for mystery.

The first section is a fictional documentary. The suspense builds, but the genuinely horrible scenes remain off-screen. It works well since it does not rely on jumps.

After she gives her mother the money, the family performs an Ouija session to try and reach Roger. Alice begins to believe that they have made contact with her late husband.

The character and actor casting in this picture are superb. The movie isn’t scary.

It’s fascinating to watch, despite the lack of scares. But it’s scary for some. When you talk to the other side, you never know who will be listening.
